Born 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, Arcuri studied at the School of Visual Arts and the Arts Students League in the metropolis. 

He is a modern master of classically inspired still imagery who considers the creation of his canvases as much a continual process of “seeing” as it is a process of painting.  At the heart of his work is the interpretation of light, whether it is a product of colour, value, form or texture.

Frank Arcuri’s paintings bring to mind the academic excellence of the Dutch masters of the 17th century, while still possessing an immediacy and freshness that speaks of today.  He has received brilliant reviews and critical acclaim for his exhibitions in New York, London and Hong Kong.
